Today has really been a great day, after the work bit was over anyway! I was fortunate enough to run into my good friend Nicola while out shopping this afternoon. It was especially exciting for me because she has just had a baby who I met for the first time today, even if it is 7 weeks after his arrival! He is gorgeous! Anyway, as if that wasn't enough - the lovely Nova (also know in these parts as Nova-licious) made me an absolutely delicious casserole for dinner. It was fabulous. I really believe that the good old casserole is far too easily overlooked and most certainly under-rated!
I have also come to the realisation that I live in one of the most beautiful spots. As I strolled along the lake this afternoon any negative feelings I had were washed away. Watching the ducks swim by without a care in the world certainly helped shake that feeling. I am not going to take it for granted anymore and will always keep in mind that just a little walk can really shake a bad mood.

How this blog has come about!
So, tonight I was reading that people who document the positive things in their life are far more successful and far more likely of achieving their goals than those who journal the negative. I also remembered the wonderful emails I receive from time to from my dear friend Andrew simply titled "Grateful for today". I have been having a bit of a rough time of late and thought that starting this blog would be a perfect way of reminding me of all of the good things in my life. There is no time like now, so have jumped in and done it. So, thanks Andrew for the gratitude and Pete for teaching me about blogging..... and here I am getting one step closer to achieving my goals.
